BELMAR, NJ – Belmar Elementary School is gearing up to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week from May 4 through May 8, inviting students and families to come together in recognizing the dedication and impact of its teaching staff.

In a letter sent to families on April 30, Principal Sarah Wilton shared enthusiasm for the annual celebration, calling it a meaningful opportunity to honor the educators who bring energy, creativity, and care into the classroom each day.

Throughout the week, students are encouraged to take part in simple yet thoughtful acts of appreciation. Suggestions include writing thank-you notes, creating drawings or poems, bringing in a favorite snack or drink for a teacher, or even offering a kind word or smile. The message emphasized that even the smallest gestures can leave a lasting impression.

The initiative reflects the strong sense of community within Belmar Elementary School, where collaboration between families and staff plays a key role in supporting student success. By involving students in the celebration, the school also reinforces the importance of gratitude and respect for those who guide their learning.
