Reminders: Classes are held in room 204. Please bring notebooks, pencils, workbooks, and homework to class.I am very excited to be working with our middle school students in math this year! This year we will study many different topics in math class. There will be homework assignments each night with the exception of Friday. Assignments are written in your child's planner each day at the end of class. Please make sure you know where the exit is located for this location.Absenteeism – If you are absent from school, you are responsible for all work assignments. You will have 1 day to hand in any work due. Extensive absences will be addressed individually.Tests – All test will be graded based on 100 points. Tests will be announced in advance throughout each marking period.Notebooks – It is important to keep your notes and assignments organized and neat. Notebooks will be collected and graded once per marking period for a test grade.Quizzes – Quizzes will be given periodically and may be announced or unannounced.Neatness – Your work must be done neatly.Grades – Grades will be calculated by an average of tests, quizzes, homework and class participation. Tests = 40%, Quizzes = 30%, Homework = 10% and Class Participation = 20%.HomeworkHomework is due at the beginning of each class.Your work must be shown for all problems.Assignments must include your name, page number and problem numbers.If you fail to hand in three (3) homework assignments, a notice will be sent home.Incomplete homework will receive a grade of zero.Homework assignments that do not meet these requirements will receive a grade of zero.
