Mr. Thomas Brennan, Music Director - firstname.lastname@example.orgAnother exciting year is moving along in 2017-18 for the Instrumental Music program here at BES.The Eagle Band program is going strong! Over 104 students are still participating in this year's program, with 63 Eagle Band members. Through the generous contributions from the community, we have many band instruments for the students to use.We continue using an improved grading system for instrumental music students. Please click here to read more about it.
Following the success of last year's Inter-District Music Festival, another is planned for May 2018. For more information, click the link below:https://www.belmar.k12.nj.us/cms/lib/NJ01001926/Centricity/Domain/4/BES-iPlay-Alternative-parents.pdfRemember, students must be prepared for their weekly lessons. This means having their instrument and band folder with music. Three consecutive unprepared lessons will result in the student being dropped from the band program. Students should be practicing everyday, 10 minutes for First Year band students, 15 minutes for Eagle Band members. Please go calendar page to see our monthly activities. It lists all rehearsals, auditions and other important events. We have many performances this year. Check our performance schedule and see! Performers for all concerts except the Halloween parade must wear white tops and black bottoms. If your child has grown since the last concert, start shopping now! See you at the show. Third graders perform on their flutophones in the Spring concert.Attendance for all performers is mandatory. An unexcused absence from a performance could result in removal from the band program. Performers’ attire for all events except the Halloween Parade will be: white top (shirt, blouse, etc.) and black bottoms (slacks, skirt, dress, etc.). Halloween parade performers should come in costume! You will be notified of any additions or changes to this schedule.
For five years in a row, the Eagle Band earned a High Note Adjudication grade of Superior, the highest possible. You can listen to our past performances here:
