The students will be learning about Internet Safety using the highly acclaimed FREE CyberSmart! curriculum (www.cybersmartcurriculum.org). This curriculum will empower K-8 students to use the Internet safely, responsibly and effectively. The curriculum uses original standards-based lesson plans, pre-screened websites, and student activity sheets. Mr. O'Donnell and Mrs. Lockwood will customize the lessons and activities to each grade level and individual class using many of the resources listed on this page. The CyberSmart! curriculum is aligned with ISTE’s National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) Performance Indicators enabling K-8 students to meet the NETS student standards relating to legal, ethical, and responsible use of technology. I will not give out personal information without my parents’ or teacher's permission.
I will tell my parents right away if I come across any information that makes me feel uncomfortable.
I will never agree to get together with someone I "meet" online without first checking with my parents.
I will never send a person, or post online, my picture or anything else without first checking with my parents.
I will not respond to any messages that are mean or in any way make me feel uncomfortable.
I will talk with my parents so that we can set up rules for going online.
I will not give out my password to anyone other than my parents or teachers.
I will be a good online citizen and not do anything that hurts other people or is against the law.
