During the 2011-12 school year, the Belmar Board of Education contracted with New Jersey School Boards Association to undertake the process of strategic planning. Strategic planning is designed to assist districts in revising and refining the mission, vision, and belief statements which are the foundations of the learning organization. This is accomplished by identifying strengths, opportunities, and key factors which support the district in better meeting the needs of its students and school community.
Following the Planning Council Weekend Conference in January 2011, committees were convened and began the lengthy process of developing action plans designed to form strategies and select measures of accountability in four key areas - Communication & Unification, Culture & Climate, Facilities, and Student Achievement.
Below you will find the action plans which will be executed during the five year period from September 2012 through June 2017.
