• As per New Jersey State Statute, the annual school election is held each year in April. This year the election is scheduled for _______. Polling hours are 2 p.m.-9 p.m. Voters will cast ballots to elect members to the Board of Education.

    In order to be eligible to vote, residents must be at least 18 years old, be United States citizens, have been living in the state and county for 30 days, and have been registered to vote at least 21 days before the election. The last day to register for the _____ election is _____.

    ABSENTEE BALLOT APPLICATIONS:
    Applications for absentee ballots are available at the Borough of Belmar Municipal Building, the Board of Education Administration Offices, 1101 Main St, or at Belmar Elementary School Main Office. Absentee ballot applications also may be obtained at the Board of Elections, County Clerk's Office, 300 Halls Mill Road, Freehold, 732-431-7150. Absentee ballot applications must be postmarked by April 20, 2011. Voters have until 3 p.m. on April 26, 2011 to apply for absentee ballots in person at the County Clerk's Office. All ballots must be received by the Board of Elections by the close of polls on April 27, 2011 in order to be counted.
